Ohio Medical Hose Assembly - D.I.S.S. for Carbon Dioxide
The Ohio Medical HEALTHCAIR Series hose assemblies are manufactured with FDA approved medical grade anti-static PVC tubing. The tubing is reinforced with polyester braiding. The maximum working pressure is 200 psi at 70F. The fittings have either the coupling or the grips color coded per CGA C-9 standards. The fittings are permanently crimped on each end to the tubing with ferrules.
The hose assemblies are normally made with a DISS (Diameter Index Safety System) female connection using a handtight nipple with a wrench tight nut on one end (to be connected to an outlet). The other end is a male DISS (Diameter Index Safety System) or female quick connect coupler (Ohmeda or Chemetron) with check unit. The standard length is approximately 5 or 6 feet. The internal diameters on Healthcair hose assemblies are 1/4" for pressurized gases and 5/16" for vacuum & WAGD hoses.
